PHASE 4 REOPENING

The Streamwood Park District looks forward to continuing to provide diverse and responsive recreational opportunities through our parks, facilities, service, employees, and volunteers. 
In accordance with the State of Illinois’ Restore Illinois Plan, park district staff continues to plan for the return of programming and the reopening of facilities as detailed in Phase 4. We continue to monitor the progress and are prepared to adjust our plan as we get further into Phase 4.
Below are the details for specific areas of interest:
  • Park Place Family Recreation Center: The Fitness Center and Lap Pool are to reopen on Monday, June 29. Park Place will open at 5:30a. Patrons must register for assigned time slots for both the Fitness Center and Lap Pool.   • Community Center: Will remain closed to the public.
  • Hoosier Grove Barn: Events scheduled through June and July are currently being rescheduled. Barn staff is working during the week to work with wedding parties or rental groups to reschedule these events.   • Summer Day Camp: In-person camps are set to begin on July 6. In-person day camp groups will be at Park Place and Hoosier Grove Park. The registration deadline for week 1 is June 29. Click here for more info on camps.
  • Parks & Playgrounds: Playgrounds and shelters are now open. For a detailed look at our reopening, please click here.
  • Athletic Fields: Athletic field rentals are available for practices ONLY until July 1. Starting July 1 athletic field rentals will be available for competitions and games. Specific procedures must be followed by rental groups regarding group size(s) and social distancing guidelines. 
  • Athletic Courts: All sports courts, including sand volleyball, basketball, and futsal courts remain closed.
  • Adult Softball League: Adult softball leagues are currently scheduled to begin on July 18. Get more info here.
  • Tennis Courts: Tennis courts are open to the public with social distancing guidelines in place. Before and after play, everyone must maintain a minimum distance of 6ft. apart. Face masks are required for all doubles match play. All spectators and players waiting for a court must remain outside of the fence until a court becomes available.
  • Summer Programs: Further details on additional programming in Phase 4 is forthcoming.
  • Community & Special Events: Events scheduled for July and August will be reevaluated.
Any open facilities will remain open as long as participants adhere to the District’s guidelines for use of those facilities based on the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and Illinois Department of Health (IDPH) guidelines.
