In 2019, the Streamwood Park District was awarded a $400,000 Open Space Lands Acquisition and Development Grant (OSLAD) from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR). The OSLAD Grant was awarded for a park renovation at Commissioners’ Park. Construction began May 16, 2020 and is expected to be complete in June 2021.

Discover Commissioners’ Park
Commissioners’ Park sits on 21.5 acres of land, located at 81 Linda Lane.
Once known as Aquarius Park, Commissioners’ Park is a newly rennovated, state of the art park! Rennovated in 2020, this park offers a sprawling landscape with a wide variety of amenities and recreation opportunites for people of all ages!
Commissioners’ Park offers a plethora of athletic courts/fields including: basketball court, football field, futsal courts, and tennis courts. The playground features three different play structures and mutiple types of swings. Another unique feature is the Challenge Course! The Challenge Course is a ninja-warrior esque form of obstacle course fitness that challenges your agility, strength, and determination. Other amenities includes a gazebo, a walking/bike pathway with educational nature signage, and public restrooms.
Commissioners’ Park complies to the ADA Standards for Accessible Design.
What’s In A Name?
Commissioners’ Park is dedicated to all the past, present, and future members who serve on the Streamwood Park District’s Commissioners Board. Members on the Board of Commissioners are elected to a four-year term and serve without compensation.
