Sealed lump sum bids for the Spa and Filtration System Replacement at the Streamwood Park District Park Place Family Recreation Center in Partnership with Rush Physical Therapy Project will be accepted at the Administration Building at 777 S. Bartlett Road, Streamwood, IL 60107, until 10:00 a.m. on February 14, 2024. Bids are invited from qualified general contractors. Contractors must be certified by IDPH. Immediately following this time, Bids will be publicly opened and read in a location designated inside the adjacent Community Center. The project scope includes, but is not limited to, the following: select interior demolition and replacement of the existing spa and filtration system at Park Place Family Recreation Center, located within the main pool area. See the drawings and project specifications for the full scope of work.

Bid Documents may be obtained from the Streamwood Park District by sending an email to ipickett@spdcares.com or in person at Administration Building at 777 S. Bartlett Road, Streamwood, IL during normal business hours starting on January 12, 2024. There will be a Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference held at 10:00 a.m. on January 31, 2024, at the Park Place Family Recreation Center in Partnership with Rush Physical Therapy located at 550 Park Blvd., Streamwood, IL 60107 for all prospective bidders for the purpose of clarification, questions, and an opportunity for a site tour.

The Streamwood Park District encourages minority business firms to submit bids on this project and the successful contract bidder to utilize minority businesses as sub-contractors for supplies, equipment, services, and construction.

The Park District reserves the right to waive all technicalities, to accept or reject any or all bids, to accept only portions of a bid and reject the remainder. The Park District will award the Contract to the lowest responsible and responsive Bidder, as determined by it. In considering the Bidder’s responsibility, the Park District may evaluate, among other factors, the ability of the Bidder to provide experienced labor sufficient in numbers to timely and properly complete the work, the financial capability of the Bidder, the performance of the Bidder on other projects, and whether the Bidder is debarred by the Illinois Department of Labor from performing public works projects in Illinois.
