PARK PRIDE DAY | SATURDAY, MAY 16
PARK PRIDE DAY IS TURNING 10!
SATURDAY, MAY 16 | 10a – 12p
There are 45 parks out in the Streamwood community waiting for you.
Park Pride Day is an annual community event reliant on volunteers working in coordination with the Streamwood Park District. Park District members and volunteers will work to prepare community parks for the upcoming spring and summer seasons by pulling weeds, planting flowers, mulching, picking up trash, and more.
Arrive at your favorite park (reservations for your favorite park must be made in advance) at 10a where your flowers, tools, and instructions will be waiting.
DID SOMEONE SAY LUNCH?
As a “Thank You” for the hard work of the volunteers, the Streamwood Park District prepares and serves lunch immediately following the work day at Hoosier Grove Park.
All volunteers will be treated to lunch, prepared and served by none other than our Parks Department and Park District member staff. Also, during the lunch portion of Park Pride Day we will give away Park Pride Day t-shirts, raffles, play music, plant a tree, and more.
READY TO GET INVOLVED?
Contact Park Manager Amy Vito via phone or email to reserve your park, reserve your t-shirt size, and tell us how many guests are coming with you. Please reserve your favorite park by May 4 to ensure we have enough flowers, tools, supplies, and food.
