PARK PRIDE DAY
11TH ANNUAL PARK PRIDE DAY
SATURDAY, MAY 15 │ 10A-1P
Park Pride Day is an annual community event in which volunteers work to prepare Streamwood parks for the upcoming summer season by pulling weeds, planting flowers, mulching, painting, and picking up trash.
From 10a-12p, volunteers are invited to work their favorite park (reservations must be made in advance). Flowers, tools, gloves, mulch, and instructions will be provided.
After everyone’s hard work in the parks, all volunteers are invited to Hoosier Grove Park to enjoy a Thank You Lunch* prepared by the Parks Department. There will be burgers, hot dogs, fruit, chips, sweets, and more! Vegetarian and gluten-free options will be available. Our celebration will also include music and giveaways!
*The structure of the Thank You Lunch is subject to change due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Participants will be notified of any changes.
Sign up for your favorite park below. We can accomodate any size group; from families, to church groups, to scout groups, and everything in between.
You must sign up with Park Manager Amy Vito in order to participate so we can verify we have enough supplies.
Parks are first-come, first-served. Please list what park you would like, and how many people will be in your group. You will receive your confirmation via email.
Your sponsorship will be used toward purchasing supplies for the 200+ Park Pride volunteers and support the Thank You Lunch at the end of the work day.
Your raffle prize donation will be entered into a raffle at the Thank You Lunch to help thank our volunteers.
In return, we will thank your business/organization in a special way. Find out more below.
