Unplug Illinois

6th Annual Unplug Illinois, a statewide initiative encouraging communities to disconnect from screens and reconnect with nature and each other. Brought to you by the Illinois Park & Recreation Association (IPRA), the Unplug Illinois campaign raises visibility and awareness of the environmental sustainability, wellness, and the economic impact park, recreation, and conservation agencies have on the communities they serve.

Unplugging from digital devices has numerous benefits for mental and physical well-being. Research shows that spending time outdoors can reduce stress, improve mood, and enhance creativity. By organizing an Unplug Illinois Day event, you can provide your community with an opportunity to experience these benefits firsthand.

Visit UnplugIllinois.org for resources, ideas, and inspiration to help you plan a successful Unplug Illinois Day event. From nature hikes and outdoor games to mindfulness activities and family picnics, there are countless ways to create a memorable day of unplugged fun for all ages.
