The Streamwood Park District would like to recognize our Aquatics Coordinator Hannah Wrzek for her exceptional contributions to the Aquatic Center at Park Place Family Recreation Center in partnership with RUSH Physical Therapy, 550 S. Park Blvd., in successfully passing our most recent audit from StarGuard Elite, an Aquatic Risk Prevention agency internationally recognized for their elite training, certification, and consulting.
Wrzek stepped into the role of Aquatics Coordinator in July 2024 and has made an immediate impact, as evidenced by the District’s recent audit, which successfully demonstrated proficiency in skills, scenarios, facility operations, and management as set forth by StarGuard Elite.
From day one, she has addressed challenges proactively and dedicated considerable time and effort to enhance the Aquatic Center staffing and swim lessons. Wrzek has ensured that all lifeguards are properly certified, completed their required Inservice hours, and has fostered a culture of safety.
“The positive outcome of our recent audit reflects the dedication of Hannah and her team of lifeguards,” said Superintendent of Recreation Services Adam Vasquez. “I am confident that under Hannah’s leadership and with our outstanding lifeguard staff, the Streamwood Park District Aquatic Center will continue to receive high accolades for safety and operational excellence.”
StarGuard Elite certification and audits prepare staff to operate safely, focus on risk prevention, and respond effectively in emergencies.
