IMPORTANT: Please read as our Procedures were recently updated to serve you better!
Online: Registering online allows you to not have to wait in line, or handwrite necessary information. You have the ability to register from your smartphone, tablet, or computer.
- If you’ve never registered with us, a household will need to be created. It is advised that everyone in the household is included under the household, along with their birthdates and grades (if applicable).
- Provide phone numbers that the park district staff can reach you for important information.
- Including email addresses is also advised as instructors may have important updates via email for class participants.
- Also, if you have registered with us, it is important to either know or obtain your usernames and passwords. If you don’t have this information, Guest Services can assist them with the log-in process. 630.483.3010.
Walk-In: Walk-in registration will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis. Simply fill out the registration form completely, bring in proof of residency, along with payment. The Clerk will confirm the status of your registration and it will be processed that same business day.
Mail-In: Complete your program registration form, along with a copy of your proof of residency and payment, and mail to:
Park Place Family Recreation Center
c/o Registration
550 S. Park Blvd.
Streamwood, IL 60107-2000.
This method of registration is best with check or money order payment methods; if there is a waiver on file, the Clerk will contact you to complete payment information if by credit card. Do not send credit card information through the mail. Once the application has been processed, the registration clerk will contact you by phone to confirm your registration status.
Drop-off: Complete your program registration form, along with a copy of your proof of residency and payment. If paying by credit card you will be contacted for your credit card information the next business day. The dropbox is located inside Park Place Family Recreation Center at the front counter for your convenience. You will be notified of class status by phone.
For Your Protection: At times when we are hand-entering credit cards, not swiping the actual card through the machine, the credit card company requires additional information to process your purchase. We may need to contact you to verify or receive additional information. Please understand that this procedure is for your protection and security.

NWSRA
NWSRA exists to provide outstanding opportunities through recreation for people with disabilities.
Celebrate ability throughout the Northwest suburbs! Join the celebration! The team of full-time Therapeutic Recreation professionals and trained part-time staff at the Northwest Special Recreation Association (NWSRA) offer safe, fun and quality year-round opportunities to individuals with disabilities of all ages and ability levels. Inclusion assistance provides individuals with disabilities the opportunity to participate in their home park district program. When registering, the parent of the individual should inform the park district (and NWSRA, if desired) of any accommodation needed in order for the individual to successfully enjoy the program. The park district staff will then contact NWSRA for assistance with the accommodation.
For more information on NWSRA, check out nwsra.org. Brochures may also be picked up at the park district main office or at the NWSRA office at Park Central, 3000 W. Central Road in Rolling Meadows.
NWSRA may be contacted at (847)392-2848 (voice), (847)392-2855 (TTY) or (847)392-2870 (fax). The Streamwood Park District is a member of a cooperative agreement among 17 park districts which form the Northwest Special Recreation Association (NWSRA). Therapeutic Recreation…The Benefits Are Endless!
Inclusion Requests: If a program participant (or parent of a participant) with a disability is requesting an aide or evaluation for an aide, we respectfully request at least two weeks notice before the program starts. However, NWSRA will do its best to provide the appropriate services within whatever time frame occurs. When possible, also please briefly describe the disability in detail to assist us in notifying NWSRA with complete information.
To Register with TTY Assistance: Please call Northwest Special Recreation Association at (847) 392-2855.
