COMMUNITY CENTER

777 S. Bartlett Road

The Community Center was built nearly 50 years ago and at one time was THE place to go in Streamwood. The Streamwood Park District is in the process of renovating the facility so that it can serve the residents for decades to come.

Beginning in 2020, the District started making the required and desired renovations to this facility as funding allowed.

In 2022, progress was made on several aspects of the renovation, including the replacement of the roof, upgrades to the old gymnasium including the installation of new FieldTurf, and the installation of environmentally-friendly solar panels on the roof of the building.

In 2023, major renovations to the Community Center were completed. Some of the exciting new improvements visitors can look forward to include an elevator, a second-level viewing room that oversees the gym, a new lower level viewing window into the gym, fresh wall paint, new flooring, and much more.

INSTALLATION OF SOLAR PANELS: COMPLETE

Installation of new solar panels was completed in December 2022. These environmentally friendly solar panels generate local electricity and will help reduce energy bills by an estimated 30%. There is no cost to the District for the renewable energy supply.
