Submit your audition for Disney’s High School Musical Jr. Our theater program is seeking at least 6 more kids (grades 2-10) to sign-up in order to run this program. This is going to be a super fun show experience you don’t want to miss!

To submit an audition, please email us a video of you singing a 1-minute audition song in the style of a musical (think Disney, Disney Channel, etc.) and then reading a line from the show.

Before you start your audition be sure to introduce yourself, then sing your song and then say one of the following lines:

#1: Well, once again they forgot to announce the auditions for the winter musical, Juliet and Romeo, written by our very own Kelsi Nielson. It’s a delicious, neo feminist adaptation of Shakespeare’s classic tragedy of star crossed lovers..with a brand-new happy ending

#2: If we do the part? Kelsi…Kelsi darling, I’ve been in 17 school productions. And let’s see, how many shows have you written? One? That tells us that you do not offer direction, suggestion, or commentary. Are we clear? Nice talking to you, love the glasses!

#3: If you want to rehearse, I’m usually in the music room during free periods and after school…and sometimes even during biology class. Or, if it’s easier, I can give you a wake-up call and come over with my  accordion…it’s mobile!

#4: I can’t believe you guys! Is this what you want to hear? Singing means nothing to me! Gabriela means nothing to me! I’ll forget the audition, forget her, and we’ll go get that championship! Everyone happy now?

#5: The Jocks and Brainiacs mingling in study hall??? They’re up to something! Ryan, we need to save our show from people who don’t know the difference between a Tony Award and Tony Hawk.

#6: Do you think these wildcat legends won championships by worrying about some brainiac girl or auditioning for musicals? Heartbreak Bolton. Missed the last basket of the 1981 Championships. Do it for him, Troy. Give him the championship he always dreamed of.

If you dance or do any tricks, feel free to film them or talk about your experience in the video.

You must also complete the following audition form.

Email your completed audition form and audition video to theateracademySPD@gmail.com by no later than Thursday, Dec. 29.
