St. Patrick’s Day Mixology

Building Block Preschool Open House

Registration is now open for the 2025-26 school year of Building Block Preschool (BBP). Thinking about registering your child this year? Come to our free BBP Open House on Wednesday, March 19 from 5-7 p.m. at Park Place Family Recreation Center, 550 S. Park Blvd. Meet the teachers and get a tour of our classrooms and facility. BBP classes start this September so visit Park Place Guest Services to register your child in-person for Intro to Preschool, 3-Year-Old Preschool or 4-Year-Old Preschool.

Egg Dive
Tuesday, April 15

Aquatic Center at Park Place, 550 S. Park Blvd.

Join us Tuesday, April 15 at the Park Place Aquatic Center, 550 S. Park Blvd., for this unusual egg hunt, where eggs are scattered around the activity pool for children to find.

Please make sure to arrive at the appropriate time, as age groups will start promptly. Bring a plastic basket with holes to collect all your goodies. Straw or wood baskets cannot be used in the pool. Baskets will not be provided. Everyone must register for this event regardless if they are participating or not. Day of registration will not be accepted. This purchase will also allow you to stay after for open swim.

Please note all participating children must be accompanied by a paying adult/guardian 18 years or older.

ABC’s of Biking

Whether you are an avid cyclist or a casual bicycle enthusiast, we invite you to join us for ABC’s of Biking – a FREE bicycle safety event Sunday, May 4 from 10-11 a.m. at Park Place Family Recreation Center – in partnership with RUSH Physical Therapy, 550 S. Park Blvd.

Led by Streamwood Biking’s Mikie Swier, guests will enjoy a brief presentation on biking followed by a safety demonstration using balance bikes in the Mark Bell Gymnasium. All participants will be entered into a drawing to win a basket of biking accessories courtesy of Never Ending Cycles. Wine + Yoga

On Thursday, May 8 from 6-8 p.m. come unwind with a relaxing yoga session followed by a wine tasting at our Wine + Yoga event at Hoosier Grove Barn, 700 W. Irving Park Rd. Enjoy a 60-minute all-levels yoga class to relax your body and mind, then savor a curated selection of wines to complement the calming atmosphere. Cost is $17 per person. Hoosier Grove Barn & Brew

Hoosier Grove Barn & Brew (ages 21+) brings together local breweries to share some of their best brews on the historic grounds of the Hoosier Grove Barn, 700 W. Irving Park Road, at a new date and time from 6-10 p.m. Friday, May 30.

In addition to great food and live music, more than 30 breweries are expected to be on hand sampling their beers, wines, ciders and meads. Participating brewers to be announced at a later date.

Early bird tickets are on sale now for $40 per person through March 31. General admission tickets are $50 per person after March 31 and $60 at the gate the day of. Each ticket comes with a souvenir cup and entitles the ticket bearer to sample 15 beers. There are also designated driver tickets available for $10 per person. Be sure to bring extra cash with you to purchase your raffle tickets for $5 each and 5 for $20. Prize packages to be announced at a later date.

A portion of all proceeds from the event and the raffle goes to the Streamwood Park District Scholarship Program, which provides recreational and educational opportunities to families in need.
