Due to the recent excessive rainfall and storms our community has experienced, our Parks crews have been unable to mow the grass in some of our parks to the levels they normally would. The water table, the top surface level of underground water, has become so saturated that ground water is seeping through our parking lots at places like Dolphin Park and the standing water in several spots in our parks has unfortunately made mowing in these areas challenging and hazardous for both our staff and our lawn maintenance equipment.
We appreciate residents’ patience and understanding as we navigate these conditions. If you have any questions about park conditions, please contact Parks Manager Jessica Meyers.
