Free Community Shredding Event

Streamwood Park District is teaming up with Senator Cristina Castro and State Representative Fred Crespo to host a shred event on Saturday, Oct. 24 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Hoosier Grove Barn, 700 W. Irving Park Road.

Stop by to safely shred your documents and de-clutter as we head into fall. Only paper materials will be accepted. No plastic bags. Staples and small paper clips do not need to be removed. Documents accepted until the shred truck is full.

Also please consider bringing the following items for the donation drive to Elgin Community College’s Spartan Pantry: beans, pasta, instant oatmeal, dried fruits, potato flakes, breakfast cereal, granola bars, Hamburger Helper, macaroni and cheese, pancake mix, shelf-stable milk, canned soups and stews, canned fruit, peanut butter and jelly, spaghetti sauce, canned tuna, canned chicken, canned vegetables, and personal care and home essential items.
