The Lunch Program with Alignment Collaborative For Education and School District U-46 distributed 258 meal bags to local residents with children in U46. Each bag contains five (5) lunches. Families also receive summer reading program materials based on age.

The program runs through the last Tuesday in July and is at Kiddie Corner Park on Tuesdays from 11:30a to 12:30p. The program provides free lunches and reading materials for local children. With the COVID-19 pandemic, the program has been modified for a drive-thru operation.

Streamwood Park District Executive Director Janda said “The Streamwood Park District is a proud partner in the Alignment Collaborative for Education Summer Reading in the Park Program and celebrates the successes it will bring towards the education and development of children.”

Kiddie Corner Park is a Streamwood Park District park.
