After receiving 152 applicants and more than $48 million in requests, the State of Illinois announced $30.3 million in Open Space Land Acquisition and Development (OSLAD) grants for 87 local park projects.

The Streamwood Park District did apply for this round of OSLAD grant funding to help revitalize Butterfly Park, 1010 Woodland Heights Blvd., but unfortunately our application was not selected in this round to receive the grant.

The park district is planning to apply for additional OSLAD matching grant funding for Butterfly Park once the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) announces the application cycle for the next round of grants.
