In the Fight Together: A Free Breast Cancer Awareness Event

Please join us for our FREE Breast Cancer Awareness Event: In The Fight Together from 6-8 p.m. Friday, October 16 at the Mark Bell Gymnasium inside Park Place Family Recreation Center, 550 S. Park Blvd.
Event highlights include:
• Zumba and Cardio Kickboxing
• Live music by Nora
• Health and wellness vendors
• Healthcare professionals and crisis counseling organizations
• Fitness instructor demonstrations and introductions to new classes and upcoming activities

This will be an energetic evening of fitness, wellness, awareness, and community support as we come together in the fight against breast cancer. Support the fighters. Celebrate the survivors. Free Halloween Movie Night – Casper the Friendly Ghost

Get ready for a spooktacular movie night with the Streamwood Park District! Bring the whole family, grab a blanket or lawn chair, and join us at 7 p.m. Wednesday, October 21 at Hoosier Grove Barn, 700 W. Irving Park Rd., for a FREE Halloween Movie Night featuring the classic family-friendly flick, Casper the Friendly Ghost.
Enjoy a fun-filled evening under the stars with friends, neighbors, plenty of laughs, and Halloween spirit.
Costumes are encouraged—so come dressed to impress and get ready for a hauntingly good time!

Free Community Shredding Event
Saturday, Oct. 24, 9-11 a.m.
Hoosier Grove Barn, 700 W. Irving Park Rd.
Streamwood Park District is teaming up with Senator Cristina Castro and State Representative Fred Crespo to host a shred event from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 24 at Hoosier Grove Barn, 700 W. Irving Park Road.
Stop by to safely shred your documents and de-clutter as we head into fall. Only paper materials will be accepted. No plastic bags. Staples and small paper clips do not need to be removed. Documents accepted until the shred truck is full.
Also please consider bringing the following items for the donation drive to Elgin Community College’s Spartan Pantry: beans, pasta, instant oatmeal, dried fruits, potato flakes, breakfast cereal, granola bars, Hamburger Helper, macaroni and cheese, pancake mix, shelf-stable milk, canned soups and stews, canned fruit, peanut butter and jelly, spaghetti sauce, canned tuna, canned chicken, canned vegetables, and personal care and home essential items.
Screamwood Boo Bash

Put on your favorite costume and join the Streamwood Park District for our annual Halloween event – the Screamwood Boo Bash from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29 at Park Place Family Recreation Center, 550 S. Park Blvd.
Families are invited to enjoy a safe, fun, and festive evening filled with FREE candy generously provided by local community businesses and organizations. Stroll from booth-to-booth collecting treats, playing games, and celebrating the Halloween season with friends, neighbors, and plenty of spooky fun.
The event is FREE so don’t miss this exciting community tradition that’s perfect for all your little ghosts, goblins, superheroes, princesses, and monsters. Bring your biggest trick-or-treat bag to collect all that Halloween candy!
Princess Holiday Party

Princess Fairytale Parties & Events proudly presents a Princess Holiday Party on Sunday, November 8 at Hoosier Grove Barn, 700 W. Irving Park Rd. Meet Elsa, Moana, Belle, Tiana, Ariel, and Cinderella! During our royal affair your little prince or princess will take part in dancing, photo ops, live song performances, interactive games, and engaging meet and greets with autographs too! Each prince or princess will receive a ribbon wand upon entry and a mini autograph book to collect those special autographs from the royal court.
There are two times to choose from:
-10:15 to 11:30 a.m.
-1 to 2:15 p.m.

Kids! Get ready for a splashing good time and a little fall fun. Join us for Pumpkin Smash at Park Place Aquatic Center, 550 S. Park Blvd., where participants can take a swim and then pick out their very own pumpkin! Bring your swimsuit and get ready to swim, splash, and pick a pumpkin!
