Resurfacing of the lap and activity pools at the Aquatic Center at Park Place Family Recreation Center in partnership with RUSH Physical Therapy, 550 S. Park Blvd., is progressing on schedule and both pools are expected to reopen by January 19.
The Streamwood Park District was also recently awarded grant funding from the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) to cover the majority of the costs associated with the work to renovate the spa pool. The sealed bidding process for the spa and filtration system replacement work opens this Friday, Jan. 12 and runs through Saturday, Feb. 14. Details will be available on our website beginning Friday, Jan. 12. Once all bids have been reviewed and awarded, work is expected to begin shortly thereafter with an eye towards reopening the spa pool later this year.
