This week, Parks staff along with personnel from the Streamwood Fire and Police Departments participated in Trail Riders of DuPage’s Equine Rescue Training (ERT) at Little Creek Farm, a horse stable owned by the Streamwood Park District, located at 1345 Schaumburg Rd.
This week’s ERT participants learned to bond with their horse, lead them around the equestrian center course, remove their halters and walk them using other means (such as shirts or towels), and learn how to maintain control of the horse under stressful conditions.
